EIB was founded in Marinha Grande by the Seiça and Tavares families. Under the leadership of Engineer Coutinho as Managing Director, the company began its operations with a team of 30 dedicated professionals.

Begins production for Michelin of a second-line product called "New Life", which is still available on the market today.

Our growth required modernization and investment in new production technologies. New strategic partnerships were also established, highlighting agreements with Dunlop and a business opportunity with Continental Mabor.

EIB moves forward with the ISO 14001 certification process.

The continuous  increase in demand led to invest in a new mixing line and a rubber vulcanizing press, enhancing the production capabilities. To support this expansion, key upgrades were made to the extrusion line to ensure a seamless supply to our transformed products section. 

This milestone also marked the beginning of our partnership with Bridgestone, further solidifying EIB´s position as a trusted supplier in the industry.

We have invested in a new mixing line equipped with cutting-edge technology, one of the most advanced of the market. This investment allows us to stay at the forefront of competitiveness, ensuring excellence and innovation in our production processes. 

Committed to reducing its ecological footprint, EIB invests in the installation of photovoltaic panels, capable of generating enough energy to cover 10% of its electricity consumption, promoting sustainability and energy efficiency.

Additionally, the lamination line has been renovated, significantly increasing production capacity and enhancing the efficiency of the processes.
