Energy awareness
In 2019 we invested in self-consumption energy solutions, installing 2,031 solar panels on the roof of our building. With this investment in photovoltaic self-consumption, EIB guarantees 25 years of linear solar energy production.
In addition to the installation of photovoltaic panels, we have also invested in a program that makes it possible to control energy consumption by sections in our factory.
Retreading: Our commitment to a more sustainable future
The first steps in the retreading industry were taken around 100 years ago. Since then, the retreading industry has established itself as a safe and environmentally responsible practice.
The retreading process aims to renew the part of the tyre that has already worn out and extend its useful life. In this way, we will reduce the use of energy and environmental resources compared to the production of a new tyre.
The connection with the retreading industry has been with us since the beginning and is something we are committed to. This means maintaining the high quality and safety standards of our products, as well as the diversified offer we have for this industry. By providing safe, high-quality solutions, we indirectly promote a reduction in our ecological footprint, in line with our commitment to a more sustainable future
We valorise and reincorporate our waste by bringing it back into the circular economy.
